NHL All-Star 5K Race to Celebrate Hockey & Fitness

NHL All-Star 5K Race

The National Hockey League and the Columbus Blue Jackets will team up to host the NHL All-Star 5K Race, a 3.1-mile road race that will celebrate the NHL® All-Star Weekend in Columbus, January 23–25, 2015.

The NHL All-Star 5K Race will join the 2015 NHL® All-Star Game, the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Skills Competition™, NHL Fan Fair™ and Columbus Blue Jackets All-Star Winter Park presented by Worthington Industries among the marquee events of NHL® All-Star Weekend in Columbus.

The NHL All-Star 5k Race will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24 outside of Nationwide Arena. Participants will take a 3.1-mile tour of downtown Columbus, the Arena District and the Short North before finishing back at Nationwide Arena. The event is limited to the first 4,000 runners and walkers.

Participants will receive an NHL All-Star 5K Race-themed Official Finisher's Medal, an NHL All-Star 5K Race-themed Long Sleeve Gender Specific Technical Race Shirt and discounted entry into the NHL Fan Fair™ at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

After the race, NHL All-Star 5K participants will be admitted to the NHL Fan Fair™ at the Greater Columbus Convention Center for $12, a $4 savings from the $16 admission. The NHL Fan Fair™ will be held Jan. 23–25, 2015 and will offer hockey fans of all ages' family-friendly interactive games and attractions, special appearances, trophy and memorabilia displays, live TV and radio broadcasts, music, food and dozens of other dynamic activities.

The NHL All-Star 5K Race is a partnership between the National Hockey League, the Columbus Blue Jackets and M3S Sports. The event will be produced by M3S Sports, a Columbus-based sports marketing and management company.

The NHL All-Star 5K Race is Presented By OhioHealth. Sponsors include Worthington Industries, American Electric Power, Coors Light, Dispatch Media Group, Huntington, Scotts Miracle-Gro, Aquafina and Gatorade.
